How to Decorate a Console Table

How to Decorate a Console Table

Hubby and I have been residing in our Alexandria apartment for some time but we just got around to decorating. We didn’t have the opportunity earlier because there were other pending items that took priority.

Our living area is quite massive, and despite all the furniture we have in, we still had an open space. I decided to make this space our main decorative display area by adding a console table. Console tables are great for entry ways or filling up empty spaces within your living space as is the case for me.

When it comes to decor and style, we both like things to be simple. With that in mind, we decided to go with a white, black and gold aesthetic. The white makes for a good base color that helps the gold and black pieces we selected to really stand out.

A few things to keep in mind when decorating a console Table.

Keeps thing uniformed:

It’s always best to have an idea or theme of what you would like to display on your console Table. This is helpful when you are curating your decorative items, you can ensure that those items are within your theme.

Less is more

While a console Table should catch your attention, it shouldn’t have so many items on display as that can make it appear cluttered. I am a believer that there is beauty in simplicity.

Have a Focal point

It is a good idea to have decorative item that can serve as the main attraction for your table. In my case, I would say my focal point is the gold flower vase on the Table. Fun fact about this vase is that I purchased as a clear glass but I sprayed painted it gold. It think it turned out nice didn’t it?
